Breaking: Months To General Elections, APC Reps & PDP Senators Plot To Impeach Jonathan Thickens

Twenty four hours to House of Representatives resumption, members of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC impeachment plot against President Jonathan gathers momentum.

Also, there are indications that about 20 Peoples Democratic Party members in the House may defect to the main opposition party tomorrow as plenary session resumes.

Lawmakers of other parties in the House aggrieved that they lost out at the recently concluded primaries are also decamping to APC. For the PDP senators who lost out, a source say they’ve insisted on fighting the President by signing to his impeachment as he didn’t allow them have their way.

When questions why the move is coming only months to the general elections, the source said, “Really we don’t care, after all he handed over the states to the governors so the governors should safe him from being impeached.”

The PDP senator who doesn’t want his name mentioned added, “It will be wrong to give all the details we are putting together with my colleagues but the nation should await a showdown as we resume plenary”.

He said,”In my state for instance, the Leadership of the party had to cancel the earlier ward congress conducted as it didn’t favour the governor . The governor then ran to Abuja and the congress was canceled to allow him nominate only his men”.

“There is no democracy in the PDP and Goodluck Jonathan has to go.”

Another one of the arrowheads of the impeachment project said that the idea (of impeaching the President) is and was never “dead” as being insinuated in certain quarters.
