The World Health Organisation country Representative in Nigeria, Dr. Rui Gama Vaz this morning declared Nigeria an Ebola-free nation.
The WHO declaration is based on the fact that Nigeria has not had a confirmed case of Ebola for 42 days or two incubation periods of 21 days. Just on Friday, Senegal was also declared an Ebola free nation as a result of similar premises.
