Iretiola Olusola Ayinke, famously known as Ireti Doyle, is a Nigerian actress, writer, producer, TV presenter, and public speaker.
She was born on May 3rd, 1967, in Akure, Ondo state, Nigeria. Ireti Doyle is 56 years as of 2023
Education
Ireti attended Christ’s School in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, where she obtained her West African Senior School Certificate. She later proceeded to the University of Jos in Plateau State, where she graduated with a Diploma in Mass Communication and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts.
Career
Doyle began acting in 1995 with the television series Riddles and Hopes. She has since appeared in several Nollywood films and television series, including Across the Niger, Sitanda, Torn, The Therapist, Fifty, The Arbitration, The Wedding Party (1 and 2), Dinner, Tinsel, For Colored Girls, and Gidi Up. In movies, she always plays the roles of a housewife, mother-in-law, and strict mother.
She appeared in the award-winning Nollywood film ‘The Wedding Party’ in 2016 alongside Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Banky W, Adesua Etomi, and other top Nollywood stars. She also appeared in the sequel to the film in 2017.
She has created memorable characters on hit shows like Fuji House Of Commotion, Dowry, and Gidi Up. Iretiola is currently starring in the MNET television series Tinsel as the enigmatic Sheila Ade-Williams. Her most recent stage credits include The Vagina Monologues, Olorounbi The Musical, Hear Word and The Wives, and Hear Word and The Wives. Her peers refer to her as an “actor’s actor,” and she is known for her flawless performances.
Doyle is a creative writer who has written several screenplays in addition to acting. She wrote the popular film “Tempest” by Amaka Igwe. She is an avid social commentator who has written popular columns for City People Magazine, This Day Newspaper, and Saturday Vanguard at various times.
