How to apply for the Gulder Ultimate Search 2021

The organiser of the Survival reality show, Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) has announced its return.

The TV premiere of ‘Gulder Ultimate Search: The Age of Craftsmanship’ is set for October 16, 2021, and will run till December 19, when the grand finale will hold.

In case you are thinking of applying for the 2021 edition of the show which was discontinued in 2016, below are the process:

Eligibility

Nigerians between 21-35 years from September 1, 2021.

How to apply?

Visit the online registration platform www.gulderultimatesearch.ng (appears to be nonresponsive the last time we checked).

How do you do it?

Applicants must enter their personal details, upload a photograph and answer a few questions.

When is the deadline for applying for Gulder Ultimate Search?

The application process ends on September 8, 2021.

What happens after application?

Shortlisted applicants will undergo a regional selection process in Abuja and Enugu on September 13 and 14, while the selection will take place in Lagos on September 16 and 17, 2021.

What is the winning prize for 2021 Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS)?

The organiser awarded a winning prize of N10 million and a brand new SUV in the last edition. The winning prize for the 2021 edition is yet to be announced. However, based on the N90 million winning prize for Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ShineYa Eye edition, the new GUS prize is expected to be much too.

Who is the anchor?

The host of the new season is yet to be announced but previous editions of the show were anchored by Nollywood actors Chidi Mokeme and Bob Manuel-Udokwu.

Meanwhile, an article published by Journal of Substance Use in 2016 reported that “Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) influences the drinking behaviours of contestants

“GUS also appears to influence the drinking behaviors of television viewers and those who participate in promotions due to product placement, direct advertisements and promotional activities that accompany the “Fan-Based Edition” aspect of GUS.

According to the report, “GUS is a disguised marketing strategy to promote brand awareness, and to increase sales and consumption”.

Meanwhile, the reality show is one of the favourites of Nigerians especially the youths considering its fitness-related tasks.
