Breaking: Nigerian Police open fire at #EndSars protesters at Central Business District Abuja

A protests on Friday continued calls for the immediate dismantling and end to the activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad enters the thirds day across most state capital in Nigeria –

As at the time of filling this report, those protesting in Abuja are being attacked with tear-gas and Live ammunitions, and scores arrested by the Police.

Some protesters on had on Thursday kept vigil at the entrance of the Lagos House of Assembly, Ikeja in a bid to express their grievances against extortion and brutality by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

NewsWireNGR correspondent reports that major axis within the Central Area District of Abuja have been cordoned off with Police officers in Armoured Personnel Vehicles, “at the Wuse Market of Abuja the armoured personnel carriers and officers were seen preventing the peaceful protest from holding”.

Protest holding in Lagos, Benin and Abuja but multiple eyewitness say the Police officers are attacking protesters, shooting at them sporadically .

A number of the protesters have been arrested and moved to the Maitama Police Station at nile Street in Abuja.
