Jonathan’s CSO Gordon Obua, Denied His Drugs, Food & Water By DSS Now Battles For His Life At Nat’l Hospital [Photo]

Gordon Obua, the Chief Security Officer of former President, Goodluck Jonathan, is reportedly in a critical condition and in admittance at the National hospital, Abuja.

A photo on of the ailing Obua was purportedly shared by his associates on social network platform, Facebook.

Obua, is said to be in great physical and mental pain since he returned from the detention of the Department of State Services, on July 21.

His lawyer, Onochie Onwuegbuna in a statement issued in Abuja had accused the DSS for denying Mr Obua access to his drugs despite being hypertensive.

The lawyer who said Obua has not been told why he is being detained said the former CSO has also been denied access to his doctor, lawyer and family members while he is equally not being given food and water.

“Our client is hypertensive and diabetic to the knowledge of his employers the SSS. and as a result he has been on daily medications to manage these very severe ailments and since his detention, he has completely been denied access to these medications.

“Our client has also been denied access to members of his family, his doctor and his lawyers and even more worrisome is the information obtained by his family that he has not eaten or drank water ever since he was detained.

Furthermore, the abdomen of the CSO is reportedly swollen and he supposedly finds it difficult to move from place to place.

Family members of Obua are said to be making plans to fly him abroad for a comprehensive evaluation and treatment as advised by his family physician.

Following public outrage, the Department of State Security, DSS had hurriedly presented Gordon Obua, the detained former chief security officer (CSO) to former President Goodluck Jonathan to the press for an impromptu press conference as seen in the featured top image above.

During the briefing, when pressmen attempted to question him, Obua clarified “I am a serving staff of DSS and I have limitations regarding speaking with the press. I thank the Director General of DSS for the way that I have been treated so far.”
