English premier league champions, Chelsea will be launching an improved bid for Everton defender, John Stones in the coming days. The initial bid for the defender by the Blues was out-rightly rejected by the Toffees who insist that the highly rated 21-year-old is not for sale.
The Blues have tipped Stones as the long-term successor of skipper, John Terry and appear keen to land the English lad who can play at right back and in central defence. The Everton defender doesn’t just share the same first name with the Chelsea skipper but shares same jersey number with the former England captain who could be his teammate in coming days.
The Blues management are hoping that an improved £26million will help them secure the services of the defender before next Sunday’s Community shield game against Arsenal.
