Carney Chibueze Chukwuemeka is an English/Nigerian Professional Footballer who plays for Chelsea.
He was born to Nigerian parents in Austria on the 20th of October, 2003.
The young talented Chelsea midfielder was raised in Northampton, England, where he started his football career.
Club Career
Chukwuemeka started his football career with Northampton youth academy before he joined the Aston Villa youth team.
He represented the U-18 and U-23 sides of Aston Villa, bagging ten goals and 11 assists in 45 appearances.
Chukwuemeka was directly involved in taking the Aston villa U-23 side cruised to the Final of the Youth FA cup competition. In the quarterfinal of the competition against Newcastle, Carney scored a hattrick.
The young central midfielder made his debut for the Aston Villa senior team in a win against Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite playing Naturally as a Central Midfielder, Carney can also play as an Attacking or Defensive Midfielder.
In 2022, Aston Villa and Chelsea reached a transfer agreement on Chukwuemeka for a six years deal.
International Career
Chukwuemeka represented the England U17 national team before graduating to join the U18 squad.
Later he was called up for the U-19, where he made his debut appearance against Italy at St. George’s Park. He also captained the side.
He was named in the England team for the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, where Chukwuemeka featured in every game in the tournament.
His performances during the competition earned him a place in the UEFA team of the tournament.
The U20 side of England called up the talented midfielder, who made his debut in a 3–0 victory over Chile.
Currently, Chukwuemeka is still eligible to represent Austria, England or Nigeria.
