BREAKING: Labaran Maku, Obanikoro, 5 Other Federal Ministers Resign

Following the orders by President Jonathan asking members of his cabinet interested in elective posts to resign from office by October 20 latest, Wednesday Federal Executive Council meeting witnessed the exit of seven of the ministers to further their political ambition.

They include: Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Samuel Ortom, Minister of state Education Nyesom Wike, Minister of State Defence Musiliu Obanikoro, minister of Labour, Emeka Wogu, Minister for Health Onyebuchi Chikwu and the Minister of State for Niger Delta, Dairus Ishaku.

Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, had confirmed his resignation to pressman in Nasarawa over the weekend. He said that ministers who have political ambitions have been directed to resign their position by October 20.
