Football (soccer) fans across the world were shocked in July when Saudi Arabian team, Al-Hilal, made a record 300 million euro ($332 million) bid for Paris Saint-Germain player, Kylian Mbappe.

The deal, according to reports was turned down by the player after which PSG reportedly offered him a €1 billion deal to reject a possible move to Real Madrid.

After Mbappe’s deal fell through, Al-Hilal also offered €140m (£120.3m) for Nigerian and Napoli player, with wages on offer in the region of £1m per week.

The offer was also rejected by Napoli. If it had been accepted, Nigeria’s Osimhen would have been the highest paid footballer in Africa.
