Biography

Patoranking, real name – Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall musician and songwriter.

He was born on May 27, 1990. Patoranking is 32 years old as of 2022.

The music star is one of Nigeria’s biggest names in the music industry and has won numerous awards.

Education

Patoraking had his secondary education at Citizen Comprehensive College in Epe, Lagos, and later at Jibril Martin Memorial Grammar School in Iponri, Lagos.

Patoranking then relocated to Ghana in 2007 to further his education at Cape Coast University. He dropped out after he could not meet up with the financial demands to continue his education.

Career

In the early stages of his musical career, Patoranking started by collaborating informally with artists like XProject, Konga, Slam, and Reggie Rockstone.

He signed a record deal in 2010 with K- Solo’s Igberaga Records, using their imprint to release “Up in D Club.” Patoranking was accepted as a protégé by Dem Mama Records due to their collaboration on Timaya’s song “Alubarika.”

After signing a record deal with Foston Musik in February 2014, he released the hit song “Girlie O,” which helped him become well-known.

In 2012, Patoranking dropped the song “Iya Bisi,” which features Qdot and Kbaj. Dancehall and fuji are combined in the piece.

Tiwa Savage appeared in his song “Girlie O” (Remix), which Foston Musik released on May 19, 2014. It debuted at No. 9 on MTV Base’s Official Naija Top 10 chart.

Patoranking and Seyi Shay both appeared in Shaydee’s “Murda” song, which Dokta Franz created.

Before the release of his album, Patoranking also made the song “Abule” available. The song received many favourable reviews and stayed on the top charts for weeks.

He has also worked with artists from the Nigerian music industry, including Timaya and Wizkid.

Patoranking has received numerous accolades throughout his career, both domestically and internationally.

Marriage

Patoranking is married to his longtime girlfriend, Leila Okorie and the marriage is blessed with a daughter named Wilmer Okorie.
