The competition takes a break to prepare for the quarter-final, semi-final and final of the Mundial. Analysts have listed some sure possible outcomes of the competition.

However, according to this list, any outcome of the competition is legendary. It’s either a beginning of a new record for some countries or additional records to some countries’ history in the competition.

Below is a list of some of the possible outcomes

Messi – Ronaldo GOAT Status Sealed

With Argentina and Portugal hosting the two current GOATs in football at this age, Ronaldo and Messi have a fanbase cult of loyal fans ready to fly pride if any of their anointed GOATs clinch the trophy.

The world cup is the only trophy left for the two GOATs to cement their status as the greatest ever to kick a ball.

Morocco – First African Country To Win The World Cup

In The history of the competition, only Senegal, Cameroon and Ghana are the African countries to have reached the quarter-final stage.

Morocco attained the feat in Qatar after defeating Spain in a legendary penalty shootout.

If Morocco wins Portugal in their next game in the quarters and also jump other hurdles to make it to the final and win it. It is a record for the whole of Africa.

Modric Gets The Icing on The Cake

Luca Modric, the Croatian hero, has established himself as a maestro in football. The one-time Ballon D’or winner led the Croatian national team to the final of the last edition of the competition  but lost to France.

With Modric at age 37, many believed this would be his last appearance in the world cup as he might retire from international football after the Qatar 2022 edition.

However, it will be a proper send-off and the icing on the cake for the legend if he can lead his team to win the first world cup for his country.

France Wins It Back To Back First Time In 60 Years

Only Italy and Brazil have ever won the competition back to back. As the reigning champion of the world cup, France is on the route to making history as the country that will win it back-to-back again. This time the first to win it in the last 60 years

Netherland Wins After Losing Three Finals

Netherland is not new to playing in the final of the world cup, but they have failed to lift the trophy on three occasions.

The country appeared in the 1974, 1978 and 2010 editions of the competition, losing on the three occasions. However, this is an opportunity to eventually break the jinx and win it.

Brazil Earns The Sixth Star

Brazil has the most outstanding record in the history of the competition as it has been crowned champion five times.

With the Samba boys still in the competition, it is another opportunity for them to eye the sixth.

England Dream – It’s Coming Home

England hosted the 1966 edition of the Mundial. The three lions also won the WorldCup that year when it defeated West Germany 4-2 in the final to win their first and so far only ever title.

However, the question many ask after these barren years of the country is “When is it coming home?”.

If the Three Lions win this edition, the question has finally been answered. It’s home!
