Nigeria has a sizable Christian population. As a result, many gospel musicians make a living from their music.

Over the last few years, gospel singers have witnessed substantial financial development. Many gospel performers make a lot of money from their musical performances, and some songs have even garnered appeal outside of the church. 

Below is a list of the richest gospel artists in Nigeria

1. Sammie Okposo – $1 Million

Sammie Okposo is the CEO of Zamar entertainment and one of Nigeria’s wealthiest gospel artists.

He amasses his wealth from his album sales and live performance in his gospel shows and businesses. In addition, he is also a brand ambassador for several top brands in Nigeria.

Sammie’s music has transcended Nigeria’s shore and gained international recognition too.

2. Frank Edwards – $1 Million 

The afro-highlife praise and worship performer and songwriter is second on Nigeria’s list of richest gospel artists.

He is a gifted songwriter and instrumentalist who owns a record label, Rocktown Records, which hosts a number of recording artists, like Micah Heavens, Gil, Divine, King BAS, Nkay, and David, amongst others.

He amasses his wealth from performances in gospel events, music album sales, endorsement partnerships, and music creation.

3. Nathaniel Bassey – $800,000

Nathaniel is a trumpeter, gospel songwriter, singer, and pastor that is famous for his songs “Imela,” “Onise Iyanu,” and “Olowogbogboro.”

 He leads The Oasis Lagos, The Youth Church of the RCCG Kings Court in VI, Lagos, and attends The Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The award-winning singer gathers his wealth from music production, stage performances and personal businesses.

Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, famously known as Sinach is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and senior worship leader at Loveworld. 

She is the first musician to spend 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard Christian Songwriter list.

5. Eben – $500,000
