Emmanuel Benjamin, famously known as Eben, was born on  September 9 1979. Eben is a gospel singer, vocalist, songwriter, and minister known for his Afro-pop-, hip-hop-, and dance-influenced sound.

He is a member of the Christ Embassy under the tutelage of the presiding pastor, Chris Oyakhilome.

Eben is also a music executive who owns Hammer House of Rock which deals with music and video production, and event management

Eben attended Orile Primary School for his elementary education and Community Grammar School, Orile, Lagos, for his secondary education.

Eben started as a rapper in 1997 after he was mentored by his brother. After a while, Eben developed an interest in vocals which prompted his transition into singing, and he chose the gospel niche.

In 2005, Eben was invited as a guest singer at the Christ Embassy youth conference. He performed his single, “Imarama”. This overwhelmed the conference attendees, and he was wooed into the church later on.

He caught the attention of the lead pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, who later mentored him through his career

Later in 2006, Eben became a member of the Christ Embassy. Under the tutelage of Pastor Chris, Eben released his debut album, “On the Rock”, in 2007. The album included songs like “maranma”, ”God Dey”, ”Iwo Nikan”, and “I Don Hammer”, amongst others

He released a follow-up album, “Phenomenon” in 2010. Songs on the album include hit songs like “Supper Man”, “Imele Papa”, “Siya Nma” amongst others

Relentless Eben then dropped another album, “Justified”, in 2013 and another one “, Magnified”, with songs like “Stayed On You”, “Everything”, “Idi Nma”, “Lifted Hands”, and other worship songs. Eben went viral after he released a song titled “Victory.”

In 2019, Eben hosted a life concert called Joyful Noise 2019 which featured top gospel musicians and also famous American musicians Bob Fitts and Phil Thompson.

Eben is married to Jahdiel (Grace Okoduwa), a fellow gospel singer, and they have two children together.
