Popularly known as Mr P, Peter Okoye is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, model, brand ambassador, dancer, entrepreneur, and businessman.
He is the twin brother to Paul Okoye and the two are known as PSquare, one of Nigeria and Africa’s biggest music acts of all time before their almost two year split – but the two are back as one again.

Peter and his brother, Paul Okoye, a.k.a Rudeboy, produced and released their music through Square Records. In December 2011, they signed a record deal with Akon’s label, Konvict Muzik, and Universal Music Group’s distribution deal. The duo released a total of 6 successful studio albums, including “Last Nite” (2003), “Get Squared” (2005), “Game Over” (2007), “Danger” (2009), “The Invasion” (2011), and “Double Trouble” (2014).

The group disbanded in 2017 after Peter sent a termination letter to the duo’s lawyer. They were said to have disagreed over the role of their manager, Jude “Engees” Okoye (brother). Their separation was a huge blow to their fans all over Africa.
Following their separation, Peter began releasing music as a solo artist using the name Mr P. He has revealed that the name was functional even while PSquare existed. His debut studio album “The Prodigal” was released in April 2021. He is known for the songs “Just Like That”, “Follow My Lead”, and more.
