1. NYSC directs married women to report at orientation camps in their husbands’ states [NewsWireNGR]
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Wednesday announced married prospective female Corps members to report for registration at the orientation camps in their husbands’ state of domicile, irrespective of the states indicated on their call-up letters.
The organisation also said they must report to camp with their marriage certificates, evidence of change of name in a national newspaper, and other valid marriage documents that were uploaded online during registration for service. Read more.
2. VIDEO: Lagos shuts Eko Bridge, as fire guts shops at Apongbon [NewsWireNGR]
Lagos State Government has ordered the closure of Eko Bridge for public use following an inferno that gutted some shops under the Bridge, at Apongbon, Lagos Island.
The state government also issued a 48 hours notice to owners and occupants of makeshift and containerized shops under bridges across the state or face consequences. Read more.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has formally declared his intention to run for the presidency in 2023.

4. Lagos State launches ride-hailing service [NewsWireNGR]
Lagos State Government Wednesday launched LagosRide, a ride-hailing service that the government said will allow operators to become owners of brand new vehicles acquired for the service within four years.
The new service is a partnership between Lagos State-owned Ibile Holdings and CIG Motors Company Limited, which the state governor said will help in the drive to develop an efficient transportation model in tune with modernity and comfort. Read more.
5. Impeached Zamfara deputy governor moves to contest against Matawalle [NewsWireNGR]
The impeached deputy governor of Zamfara state, Mahdi Aliyu Gusau, has obtained nomination and expression of interest forms to contest the 2023 governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Gusau, who was impeached in February 2022 by the state House of Assembly will be contesting against his former principal, Governor Bello Matawalle who will be seeking reelection on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Read more.
