Tuface Bows To Pressure, “Chickens Out”, Cancels Protest Against Buhari

Innocent Idibia, Nigerian musician, better known as 2baba, has announced the cancellation of the protest scheduled for Monday.

The musician has been under intense pressure to shelve the protest, which would have been the largest and fiercest citizen action since the anti-fuel subsidy removal protest of January 2012.

“After due consultation, we have realised that the protest is likely to be hijacked by those whose purpose do not align with ours,” he said in a video uploaded on Instagram.
