There Is No Place For Terrorism In Islam Says The Sultan Of Sokoto

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has once again reiterated that terrorism and Islam are no bed-fellows, urging Muslims to fish out bad elements among them.

His reactions comes just as the most dangerous terror group in the world Boko Haram according to a recent survey conducted which parades itself an Islamic group. Boko Haram, calls itself Wil?yat Gharb Ifr?q?yyah and Jam?’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jih?d’ Group of the People of Sunnah for Preaching and Jihad”.

The spiritual head of Muslims in Nigeria, who said there was no place for terrorism in Islam, also urged Muslims to educate

their children to prevent the young ones from being unnecessarily radicalised and recruited into terrorism and insurgency.

The Sultan made the statement at the turbaning of the Grand Imam of Ekiti State, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere Bello, as the President General of the League of Imams and Alfas in Southwest, Edo and Delta States.
