Gbajabiamila Responds To Tambuwal After Governor Said Dogara Was More Competent Than He
Former speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, finally owned up to the fact that he worked for the emergence of Yakubu Dogara over Femi Gbajabiamila as his successor for the position of House Speaker.

In response, Gbajabiamila said on Tuesday via his Twitter handle that he has moved on from the matter, and wished Tambuwal – who is now the governor of Sokoto – well.

Excerpts of what Tambuwal said, “The survival of the legislature as an important arm of government made it imperative that competent hands are headhunted to be its leaders. Eight out of ten members of the Body of Principal Officers in the last Assembly supported Dogara’s aspiration,” he said. “Only Hon Femi (Gbajabiamila) and Hon Datti Ahmad supported Femi.”
