At last, President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday moved into his official residence in Aso Rock, presidential villa in Abuja to spend his first night there as President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. The movement happened three weeks after taking over from former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Nigerian President, Mr Femi Adesina wrote via his twitter handle @MBuhari while announcing the President’s relocation from Defence House.

Since the May 29 handover, the president and Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo have virtually stayed way from the villa and they conducted official functions from the Defense House.
As anxiety mounted over the delay in relocating to the Villa, presidential minders released pictures of the villa undergoing renovation, ostensibly as the reason for the delay.
Buhari’s movement into the villa came a day after he returned from his Daura home where he was photographed inspecting his farm with his son ,Yusuf.
Many expect that with his movement into the Villa, Buhari will announce much expected appointment of aides and ministers anytime from this week.
