Tambuwal Remains House Of Representatives Speaker, Court Rules

A federal high court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, ruled that Aminu Tambuwal remains the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The court which said that the status quo remains about the headship of the legislative assembly, emphasised that Tambuwal should be recognised in his official capacity as number four citizen of Nigeria.

The court also supported the House adjourmenent of sitting, saying the House of Reps shall not reconvene until the 3rd December date as adjourned by the Speaker, Tambuwal.

However, the hearing of the substantive suit shall commence on Friday in Abuja.
