Lagos Declares October 15 As Horn Free Day

As parts of efforts at reducing noise in Lagos state, the Government has declared the 15th of october as a ‘no honk’ day for all motorists in the state

The government has stated that the move is to part of its effort to reduce noise pollution on the roads and to cultivate respect for other road users.It also said that this would help maintain and encourage road discipline, at the same time improving road use courtesy. The Lagos state government also hopes the initiative would encourage a positive road use attitude from motorists, and develop better road-user friendly Lagosians
