Fresh report reaching the NewswireNGR desk reveals that a student of the Nigerian Law School, Abuja has cut short his life. 30 years old, Auwal Haruna hung himself on the celing fan in his hotel room at Mariga Guest Inn in Takum, Taraba state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Joseph Kwaji confirmed this sad development to newsmen in Jalingo and stated that Auwal’s demise is already being investigated.

He disclosed that the late Auwal was a suspect in the murder case of his father, Haruna Mohammed. The deceased’s mother, Aisha and younger brother,  27 years old Ahmed are also suspects in the case.

It has been reported that the deceased’s younger brother, Ahmed had kidnapped and hanged his father to death over the latter’s marriage to a second wife as against the wishes of the first wife.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kwaji is of the opinion that the increased rate in suicide cases is as a result of frustration and drug abuse.

“Most of these young men commit suicide as a result of drug abuse and frustration in life.

“Suicide is not the solution to our problems. Killing oneself is not only contrary to the laws of the land, but also against our religions,’’ Kwaji said.
