PDP Denies Constituting Caretaker Committee For Sokoto State Chapter

The National Headquarters of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Tuesday said it has not constituted any caretaker committee for the Sokoto State Chapter of the party.

In a statement issued by Olisa Metuh, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, the attention of the party has been drawn to statements from certain quarters suggesting that the National Working Committee (NWC) has constituted a Caretaker Committee for the Sokoto State Chapter of our great party.

The party said the statements are completely false and intended to mislead our members and the general public.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC wishes to state categorically that it has not constituted any Caretaker Committee for the Sokoto State Chapter of the PDP” the statement reads.

The NWC therefore urges party faithful in Sokoto State and the North West geo-political zone to disregard statements made by those purporting to be the Caretaker Committee of the party in Sokoto State.
