Boko Haram Bombs Military Installations In Maiduguri, JTF Impose Curfew

Reports say 300 sect suspected members of the Islamist sect Boko Haram Monday attacked several military installations including the Airforce base in the area at the early hours.

The attack according to eyewitness account happened close to the  Maiduguri International Airport, led to a total ban on human and vehicular movement in the state capital by the Joint Task Force.

Contrary to widespread reports, the Maiduguri international airport was not touched.

The State Governor Kashim Shettima in-line with the JTF has imposed a 2- hour curfew in the state.

The Secretary to Borno State Government, Alhaji Baba Ahmed Jidda said the action was carried out after due consultation with military authorities.
