Heinze Believes Messi Will Retire In Argentina

Former Argentinian footballer, Gabriel Heinze believes Lionel Messi will not end his career at Barcelona but will make a switch to his native club, Newell’s Old Boys before retirement.

The former World footballer of the year played for the club when he was 13 before joining the Catalan giants and Heinze believes he will return to the Rosario based club before retirement.

“Messi will retire at Newell’s, there’s no need to convince him of anything”.

“I don’t see him wearing any other shirt in Argentina than that of Newell’s and he will retire at Newell’s.”

The former United defender also launched his career with the Argentine club just like Messi and ended his career at the club earlier this year:

“I had played very few games in Argentina and never thought of going back there to finish my career but the last two years I spent with Newell’s Old Boys were the best of my life,” the 36-year-old revealed.
