If you believe it, you can achieve it. The list of Nigerian entertainers delving into politics come 2015 is becoming litanic in nature. The latest person from the entertainment world who will be vying for an elective position come next year is Tony Tetuila, former member of the defunct rap group, Remedies (which also comprised of Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana) who came into prominence in Nigeria in the late 90s.
Tony Tetuila whose real name is Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye will be running for the Irepodun Local Government seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly come 2015 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Desmond Elliot, Kate Henshaw, Julius Agwu, 9ice and Baba Dee are some of the other entertainers who have announced their intentions to run for elective positions next year.
Nice to see the youths are stepping up to the nation’s polity and its demands.
