Biography

Julius Agwu is a Nigerian stand-up comedian, consultant, motivational speaker, actor, singer, and MC. 

He was born on April 7, 1973, to Chief Augustine Amadi Agwu and Mrs Mary Agwu in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State

Julius Agwu is the MD/CEO of Reellaif Limited, a music and movie production company. 

He is the producer behind comedy concerts like Crack Ya Ribs, Laff 4 Christ’s Sake, and Festival of Love.

Education

Julius had his primary education at Elementary State School before heading to Government Secondary School in Borokini, Port-Harcourt, for his secondary education.

He then proceeded to the University of Port-Harcourt to pursue a diploma in theatre arts. 

Career

Julius started as an actor on stage in his hometown of Port-Harcourt. Among other television series, his acting credits include Torn, A Long Night, and After Count.

His previous acting experiences include a part in the top-rated sitcom “Paradise Park” on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), where he established himself as a gifted performer knowledgeable about his craft.

Additionally, he has made appearances in a number of movies, such as King Jaja of Opobo, End of the River, Lagos Boy, Rattle Snake, and End of the River. Julius was the producer, director, and star of his movie “The gods Also Cry.”

Julius is credited with creating the genre known as “musicomedy”. Okombo, his self-titled debut album, which was heavily influenced by Awilo Logomba’s Makossa music, was released in 2000 to rousing acclaim. He later released three albums as well.

He has collaborated with Basketmouth, Bovi, and Ayo Makun and other top nigerian comedian,actors and musicians.

Julius Agwu is the MD and CEO of the music and film production company Reellaif Limited. He also works as a motivational speaker and entertainment consultant.

His foundation is known as the Julius Agwu Foundation for Youths. Julius enjoys participating in charitable endeavours as part of his corporate social responsibility, such as helping the disadvantaged, the indigent, and the needy.

Marriage

    Julius Agwu married Ibiere MacClayton Agwu, and the marriage is blessed with a daughter named Zahra and a son named Zadok.
