Civil War Veterans Pledge Support For Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has been urged to urgently declare his intention to run for the 2015 presidential elections. This admonition came from the Members of  the Nigerian Civil War Veterans of (1967–1970), under the aegis of Carefirst for the Aged Welfare Development Association of Nigeria, CAWDAN,

According to them, plans have been concluded to mobilize their over 65,000 members living in different parts of the country to work massively for the victory of the President in 2015.

 

National Chairman of the group,Ubi Okoi, who made the call yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra State, shortly after receiving their certificate of incorporation for the CAWDAN from the Corporate Affairs Commission, C.A.C, Abuja, described Jonathan’s on-going transformation agenda as monumental.

 

 said: “President Jonathan should as a matter of urgency declare his intention to run for a second tenure in 2015 because we have already concluded all the arrangements to engage the over sixty-five thousand members of the body living in different parts of the country to give their support to ensure the emergence of the President in 2015 presidential election.”

 

He noted that the veterans have contributed their quota to the country and that the group was formed to ensure the payment of its members compensation by the Federal Government.
