There was a fire outbreak at Dangote Refinery on Wednesday.
The fire which has since been contained by the fire service could be seen in viral videos published online to be massive.
A video uploaded by a netizen featured a worker at the refinery shouting “Gas plenty”.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Dangote Group, in a statement confirmed the “minor fire” at its “effluent treatment plant (ETP)”.
It however assured the public that “there is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating and there is no recorded injury or body harm to all our staff on duty.”
