Seyi Tinubu’s wristwatch collection — One is worth over N300 million

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, has come under heavy criticism as netizens react to his expensive lifestyle as he rocks different luxurious and expensive wristwatches.

NewsWireNGR reports that the president’s son who according to his Instagram page is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of @loatsad_promomedia and co-Founder of @thenoella.foundation on February 19, 2024, rehashed his father’s words from a national broadcast to mark the 63rd Independence Day anniversary last October, “There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future.”

Following the backlash generated by the post, Seyi, turned off his Instagram comment section and edited the post to rehash another word from his father; “There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future”.

Below are some of the wristwatches spotted on Nigeria’s first son, Seyi Tinubu, and their estimated price:

1. Richard Mille Green strap

Scrolling through Seyi Tinubu’s Instagram page, it does not take long to notice he is a lover of Richard Mille wristwatches.

One of the watches spotted on him is presumed to be Richard Mille Green Strap.

The watch is estimated to be worth around $200,000 or more. When converted to Naira using the official exchange rate as of February 21, 2024, the wristwatch is worth about N320 million.

3. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak

Seyi Tinubu seems to also like Audemars Piguet wristwatches as two different models of the luxurious wrist beauty were spotted on him.

This model of the brand is worth about $150,000. When converted to Naira using official exchange rate as of February 21, 2024, the wristwatch cost about N240 million.

Meanwhile, at least two watches spotted on the first son is presumed to be from this brand, hence, he would have spent about N480 million on the wristwatches.

3. Richard Mille (red strap)

Seyi Tinubu is very much in love with his Richard Mille red strap wristwatch. The watch is estimated to be worth at least $200,000 when converted to Naira using the N1600/$ official exchange rate as of February 21, 2024 is about N320 million.

These are only a few of the wristwatches spotted on Seyi Tinubu while scrolling through his Instagram photos. The sum of the wristwatches highlighted above is about N1.1 billion.

It is however worthy to note that the president’s son’s purchase of these wristwatches were before the drastic devaluation of the Naira against the dollar and also before his father emerged as the number 1 citizen of the nation.

Nevertheless, Seyi Tinubu’s post to appear empathic to Nigerians’ plight amidst economic hardship wearing one of his expensive wristwatches is expected to gather the negative backlash it got.
