Dangote Bounces Back to Number 1 Spot on Forbes List of African Richest Billionaires 2024

Nigeria’s billionaire and long-term richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote, has bounced back to reclaim the number one spot on Forbes Africa’s richest billionaires’ January 2024 ranking list.

NewsWireNGR reports that, several reports hours ago, claimed the Nigerian billionaire who has retained the spot for over a decade was displaced by South African billionaire, Johann Rupert & Family.

According to the reports, Johann Rupert and Family’s net worth was estimated at $10.3 billion, while Dangote’s net worth was estimated to be $9.5 billion.

However, a check by NewsWireNGR on Friday revealed Dangote’s net worth on the real-time tracker by Forbes was $10 billion, while Johann Rupert and Family’s net worth was $9.8 billion.
