President Bola Tinubu declared on Thursday that every possible course of action, including the use of force as a last resort, remains on the table for resolving the crisis in Niger Republic. As the head of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), he emphasized this during his concluding statements at the organization’s summit held in Abuja.

Tinubu underscored, “The communique from this remarkable summit unequivocally reflects our unwavering commitment to considering all options, even employing force as a final recourse. The responsibility lies with us, and if we do not take action, no one else will. Our dedication to assisting Niger in achieving enduring peace and democratic stability within the nation remains unshaken.”

The Nigerian leader expressed his conviction that despite forthcoming challenges, the collective determination of ECOWAS would guide them through every hurdle toward securing lasting tranquility and prosperity for Niger Republic and all member nations. He applauded the leaders for their steadfast devotion to the sub-region’s progress and the well-being of the African continent.

“While the path ahead is certain to present obstacles, I am steadfast in my belief that through our joint determination, we can surmount these challenges and forge a route towards sustained harmony and prosperity for both the people of Niger and the ECOWAS community,” Tinubu affirmed.

He extended sincere appreciation to all attendees for their unwavering dedication and valuable input during the extraordinary summit. Tinubu commended their resolute commitment to ECOWAS and the betterment of the entire continent, noting, “I extend my gratitude for your positive remarks and acknowledgment directed towards me, my government, and the Nigerian people.
