In Kaduna, Uba Sani retains El-Rufai’s SSG, appoints 26 other senior aides (Complete list)

The Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has reappointed Balarabe Lawal as the Secretary to the State Government, SSG.

Mr Lawal served as the SSG during the administration of the immediate-past governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai.

A statement issued by the chief press secretary to the governor, Mohammed Shehu, on Tuesday, said his principal also retained the services of other senior members of Mr El-Rufai’s administration to provide the link between the two administrations.

He added that Mr Lawal was retained to ensure the smooth takeoff of the new administration.

The governor also appointed Shuaibu Gimi as senior special assistant on strategic communication, Nasir Abdulkadir as senior special assistant on print media, and Dahiru Ahmed as senior special assistant on electronic media.

“Similarly, Governor Uba Sani approved the appointment of the immediate past Comptroller of Immigration, Kano State Command, Sani Liman, as his Chief of Staff, while Mrs. Habiba Anana Shekarau was appointed as the new Head of Service.

“Sani Liman holds a Bachelor of Education in English from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master of Science degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the Open University of Nigeria. He attended many courses in corporate leadership, people management, and intelligence management,” part of the statement reads.

The statement said the new head of service, who is hitherto the permanent secretary, Ministry for Local Government Affairs, has more than thirty years of experience in the Kaduna State Civil Service.

“Other appointees include Hafsah Aminu Ashiru, private secretary to the deputy governor, Naja’atu Garba Ahmed, senior special assistant [Governor’s Office], Dr. John Danfulani, — senior special assistant [Research & Documentation], and Samuel Mock Kure — senior special assistant [Public Affairs],” the statement added.
