Top 20 countries with highest road accident deaths — See Nigeria’s rank

Road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5-29 years, according to the WHO.

It results in the mortality of 1.3 million people annually. Over 50 per cent of the deaths are among vulnerable road users: pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.
