Guber Poll: Live Updates and Results of Governorship, House of Assembly Elections Across Nigeria

Nigeria’s governorship and House of Assembly elections hold on Saturday, March 18, 2023, after it was postponed on March 11, 2023.

The electoral commission said the earlier postponement was to make for adequate timing to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) ahead of the governorship and state assembly polls.

The governorship and State House of Assembly elections are expected to be held across 28 states. States like Ekiti, Osun, Imo, Anambra, Bayelsa, and Edo, among others, have different election timelines.

The elections are expected to kick off by 8:30 am.

Lagos: Rhodes-Vivour loses polling unit to Sanwo-Olu

The Labour Party candidate in the Lagos State governorship election, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has lost his polling unit to the incumbent, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress.

Rhodes-Vivour polled 18 votes while Sanwo-Olu won with 29 votes.

Another contestant in the election, the Peoples Democratic Party’s Olajide Adeniran, popularly known as Jandor, polled two votes.
