Biography

Ephraim Nwuzi is a Nigerian politician and Federal House of Representatives member.

He was born on the 20th of November 1964. Ephraim is 59 years old as of 2023

On the 23rd of February 2023, the Rivers State politician was arrested barely 48 hours before reelection into the House of Representatives after he was seen inciting violence in a viral video.

Education

Ephraim is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt.

Career

Ephraim started as a Personal Assistant to ELGA Chairman. A capacity he occupied from 1992-1994

Later he was elected as the Chairman of Etche L.G.A in 2004 till 2011

In 2015, he was appointed the Commissioner for Employment/Empowerment till 2017

Ephraim then contested and won the election for the Etche-Omuma Federal Constituency in Rivers state under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party.

He later decamped to the All Progressive Congress, where he won the ticket to become the party candidate to represent his constituency at the Federal house of representatives.

In 2011, he was conferred the title of Ekwueme 1 of Etche by the Etche Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers.

Ephraim was remanded to the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Rivers State after a clip of him went viral where he was inciting violence towards the 2023 election.
