Chelsea football club was busy all through the 2023 January transfer window shopping for players to fortify the team.

The club’s new owner, American billionaire Todd Boehly has been gracious in spending to make sure funding is not a problem to lure players to Stamford bridge.

The team led by head coach Graham Potter has been 10th on the premier league table, but that is not a distraction for the spending spree the club has done in January.

The team beat the deadline to secure their latest signing, Enzo Fernandez, for a British-record deal of £106.8m from Benfica.

Below is a list of the signings that were added to the Chelsea team in January 2023

Enzo’s deal exceeds the £100 million Manchester City spent Aston Villa for Jack Grealish 18 months ago.

Mudryk – £88.5m

The signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea took a dramatic turn at its initial stage when Arsenal was also in the race to acquire the star.

Joao Felix – £9.7million fee plus 100% wages

The 21-year-old french defender is considered one of the best young left-footed centre-backs in Europe.

Noni Madueke – £29m

Madueke was previously a badge bearer of English sides  Crystal Palace and Tottenham before heading to PSV.

He caught the attention of Chelsea’s scout while at PSV, and the 20 years old winger penned down a seven-and-a-half-year contract.

Malo Gusto – £26.3m

Lyon right back Malo Gusto was signed by Chelsea for £26.3m in a deal that will span seven-and-a-half-year

However, Malo is expected to finish the 2022/23 season with Lyon.
