Biography

Peruzzi, real name – Tobechukwu Victor Okolie is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.

He was born on 5 December 1989. Peruzzi is 33 years old as of 2023.

The talented musician is a front member of the 30 Billion Gang, also known as 30BG,

Education

Peruzzi attended Lerato Primary School, Egbeda and Command Secondary School, Ikeja, for his primary and secondary school education, respectively, before heading to Odessa State National University, Ukraine, to study Medicine and Surgery.

However, Peruzzi dropped out in his fifth year to focus entirely on music.

Career

Peruzzi was born into a singing family. Therefore, he began singing at a young age. His father gave him a piano when he was 7. With this, he began teaching himself how to play musical instruments. He started with gospel tunes because of his Christian upbringing and because he was a choir member.

Peruzzi consequently began creating actual music in 2007. He tried to ignore his musical talent and focus on his schoolwork but later dropped out to focus on music.

As a result, he began working on himself and seeking ways to break into the Nigerian music industry.

Cee-c, who finished second in Big Brother Naija 2018, appeared in the music video for Peruzzi’s 2018 single Majesty from his Heartwork EP. Many Nigerian social media users had criticized the singer before the release of Majesty, saying that she only shines on featured songs. He appeared in the famous song “Amaka” by Tu-Face.

Peruzzi initially signed a contract with Golden Boy Entertainment and issued a few tracks, including For Your Pocket, in 2017. LK Kuddy was a featured artist, and Speroach Beatz was the producer. The song that made Peruzzi famous was this one.

The public pays him much attention, especially Davido, who signed him to his record label, DMW.
