Biography

DJ Xclusive, real name – Rotimi Alakija, is a talented Nigerian disc jokey, recording artist, and record producer.

He was born on the 16th of October, 1980, in St Austell, England. DJ Xclusive is 42 years.

The veteran disc jockey is the nephew of Nigerian billionaire Folorunsho Alakija.

Education

DJ Xclusive attended King’s College, Lagos, for his high school education before heading to the United Kingdom, where he studied Physics and Computer Science at Reading University.

DJ Xclusive went further to Brunel University London to study financial computing.

Career

DJ Xclusive began his professional career as a disc jockey in 2003, performing at various nightclubs such as Aura Mayfair, Penthouse, Funky Buddha, and Jalouse. He has performed on stage with Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Mario Winans, Brick and Lace, Nas, and Fat Joe.

He was named World Best DJ at the 2010 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, held in the United States. Xclusive was nominated for Best DJ at the 2011 BEFFTA Awards. He also showed up at the Big Brother 2013 House Party.

In 2011, he became Wizkid’s official DJ for Empire Mates Entertainment and began working as the resident DJ on CoolFM 96.9. DJ Xclusive collaborated with UK-Nigerian musician Mo Eazy on the single “I’m Xclusive.”
