Aristotle Onassis Christiana O – A Tour Into The $40 million Luxury Yacht Otedola Rented For His 60th Birthday

The yacht is currently owned by Ivor Fitzpatrick, an Irish lawyer and businessman. The boat is the 59th largest in the world as of 2022, measuring 99.13 meters in length. It is worth a whooping US$ 40 million.

It was previously owned by Onassis, who purchased the River-class frigate and spent $4 million renovating it into a magnificent superyacht named after his daughter.

When Onassis died, his daughter gave the boat to the Greek government, allowing the work of art to deteriorate.

John Paul Papanicolaou repurchased the yacht from the Greek government in 1999 and completely gutted it.

The CHRISTINA O boat was refurbished with copies of Onassis’ opulent amenities. The yacht’s interior is designed in an English country manor house style.

The boat is crafted to lavish her guests with luxurious treatment for the past, present and future and has remained so.

The staterooms in the yacht are smaller than on modern ships. It has a master suite and 17 staterooms.

The yacht can carry 34 passengers and 39 crew members. A spiral staircase links the multiple indoor and outdoor living rooms.

She also has a glass-walled gym, a music area, and other high-end facilities. The compass deck contains places for resting and sunbathing, while the promenade deck below has an aft spa pool and dining area.

She also has a garage full of toys for water pleasure.

The luxury reflected his tastes, including a Minotaur-themed mosaic swimming pool that, once drained, could be elevated onto a dance floor.

The Bar had barstools upholstered with whale foreskins, whale teeth as footrests, and ivory armrests.

The bathrooms were made of marble, and the fixtures were made of gold.

The classic yellow funnel found on it from inception remains to this day. While the yacht retains some rugged exteriors, she appears low-slung and eye-catching in the water.

The CHRISTINA O yacht has a length of 99.1m, a beam of 11.12m, and a draft of 4.24m. She has an 1802 gross ton capacity, a top speed of 19 knots, and a cruising speed of 14 knots. Her MAN engines allow her to travel 5000 nautical miles.

She was one of the first boats to use an onboard stabilizing system to comfort her guests. CHRISTINA O was refurbished by Ivor and Susan Fitzpatrick in 2015 and again in 2017.

Kennedy, Greta Garbo, Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, Grace Kelly, Anthony Montague Browne, Rudolf Nureyev, Begum Om Habibeh Aga Khan, J. Paul Getty, Eva Perón, Françoise Sagan, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, John Wayne.

In 1956, it hosted the reception of the wedding of Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, and Grace Kelly. It will be hosting Otedola’s 60th birthday celebration in November 2022.
