Tinubu, wife condole with Davido, fiancée over loss of 3-year-old son

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress has condoled the family of Adelek over the loss of their 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

Tinubu in a joint statement with his wife, Oluremi said; “…our heartfelt and deepest condolences to David, Chioma, and the entire Adeleke family over the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May the Lord grant them the fortitude and strength to deal with this painful tragedy.”

NewsWireNGR earlier reported that Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at his residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

In a bid to revive him, the three-year-old victim, after being pulled out of the swimming pool, was reportedly rushed to a hospital in the Lekki area of the state, where he was confirmed dead by one of the doctors on duty.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command disclosed eight members of Davido’s domestic staff have been picked up for questioning.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin said; “Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

“If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest”.

The boy died three days after marking his 3rd birthday.

The couple were said to have traveled for a family gathering in Ibadan on Monday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders.
