Police pick up members of Davido’s domestic staff over son, Ifeanyi’s death

The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday disclosed that all members of Davido’s domestic staff have been arrested.

This is following viral reports of the singer’s son’s death.

NewsWireNGR had earlier reported that unconfirmed reports hinted that Davido’s first son drowned in a swimming pool at his residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of the domestic staff.

Hundeyin said; “Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

“If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest”.

The boy died three days after marking his 3rd birthday.

Reports say he was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The couple were said to have traveled for a family gathering in Ibadan on Monday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders.
