Amarachi Uyanne, fondly called Amarachi, is a Nigerian teenage singer, dancer, and violinist that rose to prominence after she won the first edition of Nigeria’s Got Talent in 2012.

She was born on July 17, 2004. Amarachi, an indigene of Delta State, won Nigeria’s Got Talent when she was just eight years of age.

Then, she became a popular singer and dancer in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Amarachi had her elementary education at South Point Primary School, Edo State before proceeding to University Preparatory Secondary School, Benin, for her secondary education.

She’s currently an undergraduate at Benson Idahosa University, Edo State.

When Amarachi was five years old, she began dancing. She came into the limelight in 2012 after winning the inaugural season of Nigeria’s Got Talent, an event supported by Airtel Nigeria. She clinched the star prize of 10 million naira.

Amarachi was only eight years old when she won the competition.

A year later, she released her debut single, “Amarachi Dance”. The song became extremely popular after receiving extensive airplay on Nigerian television.

After her debut song was a success, she released “Ova Sabi,” another single featuring well-known native rapper and hip-hop singer, Phyno.

The song was popular enough to be nominated at the 2014 9th Nigeria Music Video Awards for Best Video by a Minor. Since then, Amarachi has performed at numerous kid-friendly events organised by brands.

Amarachi currently manages her talent academy, Amarachi Talent Academy. She raises and instructs young children who have musical and dancing talents there.
