Banana Island is uncontestably the most extravagant and expensive neighbourhood in Nigeria. It flexes muscle with other expensive places like the Seventh Arrondissement in Paris,  La Jolla in San Diego, California and Tokyo’s Shibuya or Roppongi neighbourhoods.

It is an environment reserved for only a few privileged ones amongst Nigerians and anybody who could afford it.

According to Forbes, the average cost of buying a three-bedroom apartment in Banana Island is $2 million and a square meter of land cost about $1,101

Surprisingly, some wealthy individuals spend close to the price of a property in this exquisite neighbourhood just to smell nice.

This fragrance is preciously crafted using the ancient glass-blowing technique by master glassmakers using the most precious crystal. The LV Circle logo is hand-painted in gold enamel on the black crystal cap. The bottle is supported by a natural leather base in Louis Vuitton’s workshops.

The Chanel No. 5 Extrait has an exotic appearance of the fusion of crystal and 24-carat gold powder at 540 degrees Celsius. This is then sealed to ensure the purity of the liquid.

3. Clive Christian No. 1 Passant Guardant – US $228,000

Country of origin: United Kingdom

This perfume body is crafted with 24-carat gold latticework and a coat of arms featuring over 2,000 white with accents of yellow and pink diamonds.

It also features Queen Victoria’s crown as a signature trademark and is the only perfume house with permission to use it.

2. DKNY Golden Delicious – US$1 million

Country of origin: United States

The apple-shaped fragrance bottle is adorned with hand-picked stones that resemble the New York City skyline.

It is made of 14-karat yellow and white gold. It features over 2,000 precious stones, including white diamonds, yellow sapphires, pink diamonds, turquoise paraiba tourmaline, and a 2.43-carat yellow canary diamond on the cap.

This tops the list of the world’s most luxury fragrance brands. Shumukh means “deserving the highest” in Arabic and is attributed to royalty.

The bottle of Shumukh is craftily adorned with 8.55 carats of diamonds, giant pearls, two kilograms of 18-karat gold and more than five kilograms of pure silver.
