Banana Island is uncontestably the most extravagant and expensive neighbourhood in Nigeria. It flexes muscle with other expensive places like the Seventh Arrondissement in Paris, La Jolla in San Diego, California and Tokyo’s Shibuya or Roppongi neighbourhoods.

It is an environment reserved for only a few privileged ones amongst Nigerians and anybody who could afford it.
According to Forbes, the average cost of buying a three-bedroom apartment in Banana Island is $2 million and a square meter of land cost about $1,101
