Banana Island is uncontestably the most extravagant and expensive neighbourhood in Nigeria. It flexes muscle with other expensive places like the Seventh Arrondissement in Paris,  La Jolla in San Diego, California and Tokyo’s Shibuya or Roppongi neighbourhoods.

It is an environment reserved for only a few privileged ones amongst Nigerians and anybody who could afford it.

According to Forbes, the average cost of buying a three-bedroom apartment in Banana Island is $2 million and a square meter of land cost about $1,101

Surprisingly, some wealthy individuals spend close to the price of a property in this exquisite neighbourhood just to smell nice.

The bottle of Shumukh is craftily adorned with 8.55 carats of diamonds, giant pearls, two kilograms of 18-karat gold and more than five kilograms of pure silver.
