Gunmen kill 6 people in Ondo fresh attack, 3 days after Owo incident

Six people have been shot dead at Sabo Area of Ondo town, Ondo State on Wednesday night by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

The unfortunate event is coming about 3 days after the heinous attack on a Catholic church in the Owo area of the state.

NewsWireNGR reported that about 40 lives were claimed in the Owo attack.

No fewer than six persons were shot dead at Sabo Area of Ondo town, Ondo State on Wednesday night by some men suspected to be bandits.

The gunmen behind the fresh attack according to a source were on motorcycles when they carried out the attack.

Another source said the gunmen also robbed some residents of the area before they left the scene.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident.

She, however, said it was a robbery case, adding that men of the command were already on the trail of the perpetrators.
