He was born on October 4, 1981, into a Christian family by Pastor Chris Abaga and Mrs Lydia Abaga in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
He is a Hausa man that originated from Takum, Taraba State, Nigeria, and was born into a family of three boys which include Jesse Jagz and Jason Abaga.
MI Abaga started his education in Baptist High school and he proceeded to study Business and Economics at Calvin College, Michigan, US while studying he also practised poetry while in school.
He started performing Live in school Hip Hop concerts and his wonderful performance at the HipHopera in 2003 at Calvin college made him popular.
Abaga celebrated his 41 years birthday on October 4th, 2021 so he will be 42 years old On October 4th, 2022.
MI Abaga started his music career when he came back from abroad in 2003. In 2012 he relocated to Jos and formed a group called the Loopy Music with his brothers which includes; Ice Prince, Ruby, Jesse Jagz, Threadstone, Lindsay, Moses Elbuike, and E kelly.
After some years, he joined one of the prominent music labels called the Chocolate City but later left the label on March 6th, 2020 after spending 13 years with the label.
