American rappers, Gunna and Young Thug, arrested in relation to gang-related activity

American rappers ‘Young Thug’ and ‘Gunna’ have been arrested following investigations leading to their alleged involvement in a gang related crime in Atlanta Georgia, USA.

The two are allegedly involved with the gang Young Slime Life, which is also known by the acronym ‘YSL’.

Young Thug whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested on May 9, 2022, for not just charges of gang activity but also conspiring to violate the US Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

The two are not the only ones indicted in this case, as there are 26 other defendants who are affiliated with the gang that is YSL, with as many as 56 charges against them, all related to racketeering.

Gunna whose real name is Sergio Giavanni Kitchens was arrested on May 10, 2022, after surrendering himself to the police for conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

The two rappers are signed to Young Thug’s record label YSL Records (Young Stoner Life Records).
