American music exec and rapper, Diddy, announces new record label and return to music

American rapper, songwriter, record executive, and entrepreneur Sean John Combs, stage name ‘Diddy’ (formerly Puff Daddy) has launched a new record label, ‘Love Records’.

He announced this in an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from his verified Instagram account.

His post reads “Music has always been my first love! LOVE RECORDS is the next chapter! Shoutout to @TheEthiopianDream and the entire team at @MotownRecords for partnering with me on my new album!! It’s a NEW ERA!! It’s about getting back to the LOVE and making the best music of my life!!”

The launch of the new record label confirms the music exec’s long awaited return to the music scene as it is confirmed the first project by the label will be his next album.

Love Records will be an R&B record label according to his post where he states ‘It’s about getting back to the love’ and will be dedicated to R&B music and will release singles and collaborative projects from a collective of world-class artists, producers and songwriters.

Diddy still runs Bad Boy Records which he founded in 1993.
